Jeanne has a unique skill set as she has promoted health and healing across the life span of all ages and types of people in many different settings as a RN, Educator and Therapist. She is a life long horsewomen who is living her dream of being able to share with others the healing power of horses, and began practicing Equine Assisted Psychotherapy in 2006 using the EAGALA Model. Jeanne has been a PATH instructor for over 15 years. Jeanne has many fortes and specializes in working with people dealing with addictions, family and couples therapy, grief and loss, veterans, and women’s issues.

Madeleine Scuderi BA, MS,
OTR- Path Certified Riding Instructor, Path Certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning
Maddy is our on site Occupational Therapist, PATH certified therapeutic riding instructor, and equine specialist in mental health and learning. She graduated from Ursinus College in May of 2017, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with minors in Spanish and Studio Art. She spent her summer interning at Equine Assisted Therapy of New Jersey, where she discovered a field in which she could combine her passion for horses with her dedication to helping other people. She continued to volunteer at Equine Assisted Therapy of NJ after her internship, and went on to gain her PATH certifications as a therapeutic horseback riding instructor and equine specialist in mental health and learning under the mentorship of Jeanne. During that time she also pursued a Masters in Occupational Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University. Maddy loves OT because it helps people achieve their goals through the therapeutic use of everyday activities--including partnering with horses. Maddy graduated with her Master's in OT in December, and began practicing as an OT at EAT of NJ in May 2020. Maddy has a strong interest in the study of the functional movement of both people and horses, the utilization of both art and nature in treatment planning, sensory integration techniques, and NDT techniques. She also has a strong interest in the use of natural horsemanship within her OT sessions.

Matt Cahill is our Veterans Liaison.
He is Medically retired, combat veteran. He was a medic for 26 years and retired as a Sergeant First Class (SFC).
Matt found us while establishing a program called Veteran Equine Therapy Specialists (V.E.T.S) Together we are working to provide equine assisted therapy to veterans at no cost in order to do our part in reducing veteran suicides. Matt brings a sense of fun and hope to all of our activities. He also has the ability to cut through the red tape that can often prevent veterans from getting the care needed.

Katie Oblinsky, M.A., BCBA, LBA
Katie joined the field of ABA in 2011 while living in Charleston, SC. She has a B.S. in psychology from University of South Carolina, a M.A. in Psychology, Clinical Counseling from the Citadel, and earned first her BCaBA then BCBA in 2014. Katie has worked in several states, moving around with her husband during his military career, and several settings including outplacement schools, self-contained and general special education classrooms, preschools, in the community, and clients’ homes. Katie completed a certificate program in OBM in 2017. She pulls from her education and diverse experiences to increase client skills and quality of life. She especially enjoys training communities and families, clients with diverse needs, and implementing ACT with clients. Katie loves getting to know clients, their families, and their multidisciplinary teams to make progress towards goals together. She is a lifelong horse lover, having grown up riding and competing in the Chester County PA circuit throughout her life and spent about ten years volunteering as a sidewalker at barns in both PA and SC. In all aspects of work and free time, Katie adheres to her family motto of, “Safety First!”

Kathryn Lashbrook, BA

Kathryn is a life long student of the horse. Her love for horses started almost as soon as she was born. She has been an active member of 4-H in her youth. She currently works at Salem County Special Services School District and is pursuing her masters degree in Education. She has a passion for helping people. Shannon Pinkerton, M.Ed., LPC

Shannon has been practicing Equine Therapy since 2007. Shannon began her journey with horses at age 13 with her first horse Bucky, who is has been a co-facilitator in this work. Shannon loves using creativity in providing therapeutic horsemanship to people who will benefit in multiple ways from being with horses. As an LPC, Shannon has a wide range of experience, from at risk adolescents to people with persistent mental illnesses, addictions, and trauma. Shannon believes in the importance of creating a safe environment yet challenging the client to see beyond their current view of themselves, in order to reach their goals.
